Hey guys!   Greetings from NORTH Florida!  Sorry I wasn't able to travel north this year to see you all but that reunion photo was great! Thanks for posting it (along with the names, as we know that our faces have changed somewhat!!) I've finally retired from the hospital grind and I'm enjoying my gardening ...along with having fun with my 6 year old Grandson who lives here in the same town with my youngest daughter,Holly and her husband. I usually travel out to the West Coast once a year to visit with my eldest daughter,Heather and her husband. She lives on the "wild" Oregon coast...gorgeous scenery, lots of hiking and another Grandson, aged 10. Best wishes to all, Phyllis

My life has been filled with lots of memories since the loss of my husband last June.  I am doing well.  Have kept in touch with Nancy Christopher by e-mail in the winter and see her several times during the summer.  It has been wonderful staying in touch with her.  I will do my best to attend the 55th.

Oh, how I feel for your lovely family and all your classmates who love and will most definitely miss you terrible.

This is such horrible news and the words that you were so gifted with the knowledge of fail me at this time to express my sorrow and loss.

May you rest with the Angels and sit with all those who believed in The Almighty.

God Bless all the Jon Meincke Family now and always.

Congradulations to the comittee for all your hard work, and Donna Schrock and all her help. I wish my fellow classmates all the best, and of course a wonderful reunion. We were going to try and make the reunion for part of the events, but my Wife had a bad fall on the slate hall way floor, and even though she is home from the hospital, she is still not up to making the trip. Just wanted to say "Hello" and to let you know I will not be attending the reunion. My son, who is a Lt. Col. in the army stationed in Ft. Drum, NY, is going to Afganistan for a year.  I am going up to see him that weekend prior to his departure. This is his second deployment. As you all know as we get older the children seen to take on the parent role and I need to remind him who the General is and to give him a big hug before he goes. He has 2 boys ages 9 and 11.  My daughter has a daughter age 10 and lives in South Glens Falls
I am now single after having been married twice. I retired from Glens Falls National Bank after 32 years and attaining the position of Vice President.  Having left college to marry I returned to night school after divorce to take many banking and insurance courses.
I now live with Otis,my dog, and 4 cats in Queensbury, NY which is located close to Lake George.

Classmates:

I urge you all to bring your camera to the 50th.  Yanacone has received his cheerleader outfit (Thanks To Donna) and he is ready to give the performance of his life.  While he was quiet and shy in high school, he has come out of his shell and he is really looking forward to Friday night as well as Saturday!  All classmates should be ready to see one of the modern day "Wonders Of The World" and take pictures so you can return home to show them to your grand kids!  A once in a life time event! ! ! ! ! !

Huge thanks to the reunion committee! 50 years on, it's hard for a pushing-70 wife, mother, and 6-time granny named Margaret Gwynne to even remember "Gretchen Anderson," but looking through the messages from classmates I was astonished to discover that I remembered every single person. I'll be at the reunion on Sat. with my husband, Tom, and my second-grade (!) BFF, Mary (Shubert) Stearns, and am really eager to see everyone.

Hi Everybody!  I just spent  the last hour looking over the web site at all the photos of our classmates. It was a real treat.

I'm so sorry I will be unable to attend as I'll be out of the country on a long planned trip.

Hi all,
Unfortunantly, I won't be able to make it to the reunion but I know that you'll all have fun.
I'm slaving away down here in the heat and humidity of Florida....I sure do miss the Northlands!
A couple of more years on the job and then I'll be footloose and fancy free.
I've explored all around Europe but I haven't seen much of the USA.
Time to start traveling here at home.
I have one daughter (and grandson) on the west coast and another on the east coast....I intend to travel between the two and sightsee in between.
Best wishes for great fun to you all,
Phyllis

Hi Sandi:

Sorry to hear that your not going to make the "50th".  Hope you change your mind . . . If not, I will make certain that I get a picture of Mike Yanacone in his SHS Cheerleader Outfit!  That alone should make you want to make it to the reunion.

Hope to see you there . . .

Class Of 58 . . .

As we move closer to the great event I just want you all to know that Yanacone's cheerleading outfit is on track to be completed on time!  He has indicated that he intends to wear the outfit Friday night at the Elks ( He wants all his member friends to see his legs ) and because he does not own a jacket and tie he will have it on for dinner Saturday!  I was wondering if Gil would be so kind as to ask the Summit High Cheerleaders if Yanacone could join them (In his outfit) on Saturday during the game . . . that would really be interesting!  We might want to have the Summit police force on hand for the arrest.  Where's "T" when you need him ? ? ?

See ya soon!

Best luck to you all for your 50th. I have enjoyed perusing your website and finding wonderful old pictures. Especially enjoyed coming upon a picture of my young and beautiful mother in that Franklin School 4th grade brownies picture.

Hi Everyone!  Looking forward to seeing you after all these years.  I can't believe it's been so long.  I have two wonderful sons and four grandchildren, 2 of each kind.  I've lived in Southern California since 1960 and love every minute of it even though it's crazy!  Great job on the website Carol!

A great big “hello” to all my former "mates" of the class of '58. Well, it's time to start getting ready to visit one with the other in October. I really cannot wait to see you all and I am hoping for the very best showing our class has ever had. More information is forthcoming and Carol (Israel) Allen is our "web mistress." We all can help make this web site one to remember. "Bye" for now. Georgi

What wonderful memories SHS brings back! Fifty years! Hard to believe. I look forward to catching up on old times with fellow alums. I am currently living on the campus of Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Va. – about an hour and a half west of Washington., D.C., -- where my wife, Cathy, is the Director of Communications. We moved here in July of 2005 after 17 years in New Jersey, including 15 in the town of our arch rival in sports, Millburn. Many thanks to the people involved in putting together the reunion and this terrific Web site.

Attention: Class of 58 -  SHS cheerleaders . . . this may be asking alot but do any of you cheerleaders still have your cheerleader jumper?  Or your skirt and sweater?

Yanacone wants to dress up as a cheer leader on Friday night when we gather at the Elks!

Should be interesting when his fellow Elk members see him ! ! ! !

I know this is really a long shot, but hey, who knows!

Bye Bye . . . Tony C

I can't believe this is going to be the 50th, where did the time go.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and reconnecting with my past.  I'm living in Bedford, MA with Mr Wonderful (Ron).  Twice divorced, three daughters, and five grandchildren.  Where in the world did the years go?  I'm working on loads of pictures of everyone but have to get them out of the basement and into some order and will upload them soon

The Reunion will be my first trip back to Summit in over 30 years, very exciting for me and my wife, Judy.  I feel a sincere debt of gratitude to those special people who have worked so hard to make it happen.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It was great to get the email indicating that the class of '58 will have a reunion in the fall of '08.  I look forward to being there if at all possible.  It was good to see that I am remembered--I am not "missing" anymore!

After going through the site, I was saddened to learn that several of my friends have passed away.  I had not been able to keep in very close contact with anybody, so the information was a shock to see all at once.

I have seen Dick Connell --we went to Lehigh together, and have crossed paths at those reunions--we are both pretty active alumni.

I now live in Florida, and am retired about 8 years.
